Oh Valentine’s Day… how I have such mixed feelings about you! You’re an excuse to spend money on someone to demonstrate a committment to that person. You’re a “singles awareness” day that depresses those who aren’t in relationships. You’re every woman’s favorite faux holiday (FLOWERS PLEASE?!) and every man’s worst nightmare of feeling pressured to “perform” (I’ll let you fill in what you think that means) 🙂 So whatever Valentine’s Day means to you, whether you are single or with someone, why not make it a day to just celebrate “LOVE.” Love of life, love of your relationships (yes friends are included), and love of yourself.
